You are Ohioans!

That last night you guys had in Cali with us was so much fun. God definitely was bringing us all together and it was such a wonderful way to see you off. Thank you for letting us be there =)

I'm praying that things go well for you guys tomorrow at your new church. You'll have to tell me all about it when you get a chance. So I know it's soon, but have you guys been driving around looking at all your houses yet? I can't wait to hear everything!

So are there any big scary bugs out there?

Talk to you soon =)

  1. YES indeed, we had a lot of fun with you and Brad Thursday night. It was very special to spend our last few hours in CA with you two, our best friends. I love this picture of Aaron & Brad...our husbands are so good!
Thank you for praying for us. The kids did really well on the flight. At one point, there was a ton of turbulence, and I was stuck in the bathroom with Auri (I had just finished changing him). It was really scary...I straddled the toilet and held him tighly in my arms, as I got knocked around. Roman and Genesa thought the turbulence was hilarious!
Our first day here in Ohio was pretty stressful for everybody. We've settled down a bit, though. It was great to go to church today. The people at the church we visited (Covenant OPC in Dayton) were very nice and welcoming. We've already been invited to two homes for lunch. We'll worship there again next Sunday.
I haven't seen any big scary bugs yet. I did see some big flying ants, though. And, at the house we went to today, there was a big dog, and poor Roman and Genesa...the dog came up to them to smell them and they both screamed in fright! Aaron just called me outside to look at fireflies...
How was church today? We miss not seeing you.
    Love,
    Delia

  2. I seriously would have peed my pants or fainted if I was awake for turbulence. That's why I take the ambian. I'm a much happier person that way. I'm glad the kids had fun. That sucks about you being in the bathroom. At least you weren't actually GOING to the bathroom.

I'm so glad that you had a warm welcome at the church. Was it fun getting to know the people? I"m sorry about the dog and the kids. I just have this sad image in my head of your kids running for their lives =(

Church was good. Although when we read the Confession of Faith: Westminters Confession of Faith 24.6 (Of Marriage & Divorce) There was something that sounded weird to us. It goes...

"Although the corruption of man be such as is apt to study arguments unduly to put asunder those whom God has joined together in marriage: yet, nothing but adultery, OR SUCH WILLFUL DESERTION AS CAN NO WAY BE REMEDIED BY THE CHURCH, OR CIVIL MAGISTRATE, is cause sufficient of dissolving the bond of marriage: wherein, a public and orderly course of proceeding is to be observed; and the persons concerned in it not left to their own wills and discretion in their own case."

The part I capitalized was the part that didn't sound right to us. We are going to research it a little more and clarify what it means. Do you guys have any insight on it?

We didn't really stay after and talk to too many people today. We are slowly, but surely getting ready to move which is exciting. I went by my mom's place today to pick up a few of my things. Her fiance is down here and staying here until they both go back to AK. They were visiting my Aunt & Uncle who live in LA today so I went by and picked up the stuff so I didin't have to meet him.

Other than that things have been about the same. =)

    We miss you =)
